What a day! We’re so glad we were able to be a part of the Brisbane Irish SEQLD Drought Run today, where over $69,000 has been raised, as well as thousands of litres of water and animal feed delivered to farmers and the Stanthorpe community who are battling drought. It’s a fantastic result for a great initiative! Thanks to our drivers, the organisers and donors who made today a success.
In the lead up to another hot Christmas, our potable water team has been working hard to fill tanks and pools throughout South East Queensland. Geoffery Smith and the team at Brisbane Prestige Plunge Pools are specialists in building and installing luxurious plunge pools and have been keeping us busy with another pool fill at Scarborough.
Our General Manager, Anthony Betts, was proud to hand over the keys of our newest 2,000 litre water truck to Ewen Campbell from the Brisbane City Council’s Urban Amenities team.
This specially modified dry hire water truck is designed with a quieter petrol pump for night operations, arrow board and standpipe holder for additional driver operational safety, making it perfect for the watering of inner-city parks and gardens in the bustling Brisbane CBD.

It was great to have BCC’s Strategic Procurement team visit us last week to see our latest fleet additions hit the road. Our newest 7000 and 2000 litre Hino water trucks are specifically designed to improve our service for our council contract with the latest Euro emission reduction systems, high pressure petrol pumps for quieter night operations and arrow boards for higher roadside visibility.

Alder Constructions site supervisor Paul Battersby and his team are putting our 1,500 litre water trailer to good use on the Macadie Way upgrade project in Merrimac on the Gold Coast. Alder Constructions chose this adaptable water trailer because it comes with 20 metres of hose, back batter sprays, a dribble bar and a small cannon nozzle (which can throw up to 15 metres), making it a simple and cost-effective dust control and soil compaction solution for their site – and any compact site.
When it comes to tight work sites, our 2,000 litre mini water trucks are the ideal dust suppression solution. Working with industry partner Hazell Bros, one of our mini water trucks is onsite at the Cannon Hill rail station upgrade project providing a compact, easy-to-operate and cost-effective option for dust control.

We’re proud to be working with the Fulton Hogan Seymour Whyte Group JV to provide dust suppression, horticultural watering and polymer application on the Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway Project. The CR2SM project involves an extensive upgrade of the Bruce Highway to six lanes, including major upgrades to both interchanges and the delivery of a two-way service road for local traffic.
The team recently visited Vital Chemical, our partner for industry leading dust and erosion control products, at their Wacol training facility. Thanks to Carlos Mira for giving Shontelle Torda, Brendan Mann, Jack Sneath and Matt Nightingale an in-depth product and application training session.
Easily recognised on major civil construction and infrastructure projects, Vital Chemical’s highly visible “green” soil stabilising products are fast becoming an industry standard in environmental sustainability management practices. Our trained operators use specially set up polymer application vehicles to apply their products, which can reduce water usage on major projects by up to 50%.
