On track with Gold Coast Light Rail 2

Following the recent announcement of the start of construction of the second stage of the Gold Coast Light Rail by CPB Contractors, H2flow is proud to be contracted to site to provide specialist water truck services and potable drinking water supply for the project. H2flow’s operator, Alex Graham, is our first operator to the site. Over the coming months multiple trucks are earmarked to join Alex and the Light Rail team to assist in dust suppression and soil compaction for the 7.3 kilometre dual track extension.

The Stage 2 extension will take up to 18 months to complete and will have trams operating before the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. The extension of the Gold Coast light rail will operate from Gold Coast University Hospital to Helenvale’s heavy rail station, to connect Stage 1 with the main Brisbane to Gold Coast rail line.

The Gold Coast Light Rail is the fourth major rail project H2flow has collaborated with CPB Contractors (formally Thiess) including;

  • Robina to Varsity Lakes
  • Richlands to Springfield
  • Moreton Bay Rail Line

Scenic Rim

H2flow and Harrison’s Hire are continuing to expand our operational footprint, with both the wet and dry hire services being accepted by the Scenic Rim Regional Council on their panel of preferred plant and equipment suppliers.

Beaudesert and the Boonah region is experiencing significant regional development with the $30 million freight terminal development at Bromelton seen as a catalyst for continued growth throughout the Scenic Rim.  With depots at Sumner Park and Beenleigh, H2flow and Harrison’s Hire are ideally positioned to supply water services to the region.

Out on a recent reconnaissance trip is one of our directors checking out local water sources .. They don’t call it the Scenic Rim for nothing !

Wildlife Warrior

H2Flow’s very own ‘Wildlife Warrior’ and ‘Steve Irwin Wanna be’, Hamish Grey recently received special recognition in CPB Contractor’s Moreton Bay Rail Link, Daily Prestart.

Hamish witnessed a pair of ducks in great distress after falling into a closed pit. Without hesitation and with complete disregard to his own safety, Hamish saved the day by promptly rescuing the ducks. The duck have been nick named Peking and l’Orange.

H2flow commenced worked on the Moreton Bay Rail Link project with CPB Contractors Pty Ltd in December 2013 and still has water trucks & various dry hire plant on site in the final stages as this project winds down.

 At its peak construction phase, H2flow had a large fleet of water trucks working daily on the various staging sites plus was supplying the drinking water to the multiple lunch rooms scattered around the project. This is the third major rail project H2flow has worked on with entities associated with CPB Contractors Pty Ltd over the past decade.

 The recent acquisition and integration of Harrison’s Hire has extended the reach of South East Queensland’s largest water carrier into new markets, providing the largest dedicated mobile water services company for the civil & construction industry in Australia.

H2flow’s owners acquire Harrison’s Hire

The owners of H2flow acquired Harrison’s Hire in November 2015. Harrison’s Hire had built up an extensive plant and equipment dry hire business over the last 20 years specializing in the small end hire equipment (Mini trucks & trailers). H2flow’s owners (Scott Beioley, Mark Broekman, Paul Ryan) are very excited with their acquisition of Harrison’s Hire. They see the Harrison’s Hire dry hire product as a terrific complement to H2flow’s extensive wet hire business.

The combined fleets now offer water trucks varying in size from 2,000 litres to 28,000 litres, mini tippers, mini vacuum trucks, vacuum trailers, water blaster trailers, water trailers, fuel trailers, sandbag filler trailers, on site water tanks and a dedicated fleet of drinking water trucks and trailers.
